Year 3 ZooSnooze
Year 3 BG attended their ZooSnooze Camp last Tuesday and Wednesday. The students slept the night at the Zoo and got to have the Zoo all to themselves after hours. A very unique experience. As part of this experience, the Year 3s took part in the PlanetKeeper program. The PlanetKeeper program sees the students choosing an endangered animal and receiving an education session at the Zoo. The Year 3s chose the Tiger and had the opportunity to learn about the different types of tigers, where they live, what adaptations they have and why they are endangered. The students got to meet the Tiger Zookeeper and ask her many questions about her job. The Year 3s will be conducting some fundraising towards helping the Tigers later this term. The students also had a great time bowling on the second day. A big thank you goes to Margaux Kuhlmann and Adam Stainer for volunteering to help with camp and Anna Charlesworth for being the second teacher. All your help was amazing. Be sure to check out the ZooSnooze displays in the front office foyer and in the centre space of the St. Joseph building.
