Uniform Policy Changes
Several concerns about the fit and ‘look’ of our uniform pieces have been expressed and we are pleased that these have been addressed.
From 2019, the Campus will offer a shorts and shirt option for girls in summer. These will be introduced for Reception to Year 2 initially to gauge the interest from families. They will be available for purchase from January. Charcoal coloured pants for winter will also be available in all sizes for girls. These are to be worn with the long-sleeved blouse and jumper. Girls still have the option of wearing the pinafore or skirt.
The Campus polo shirt will now be made from a more robust fabric which is less prone to snagging and also absorbs body odour.
The Campus Sports jacket and pants will be made in a fabric with brushed fleece on the inside for warmth. They will be a slimmer, longer fit with no zips in the legs.
There will be some minor changes to other components of the uniform, with a different style school bag, the introduction of a bucket hat as well as the two previously supplied styles, the removal of the jac band on the boys’ shirts (which some boys found too tight) and replaced with a straight hem and side slits, an extra inverted pleat in the centre front and back of the pinafore, the return of the hidden zip, a pointed collar and a differently styled belt on the summer dress. Each of these changes will not significantly change the look of our uniform and so all current uniform items will continue to be acceptable until they wear out.
In the past couple of years due to sizing problems, families have sought uniform pieces from places other than the Campus uniform provider. As from 2020, it is expected that students will wear only the uniform pieces described in our uniform policy. Please refer to this link for clarification https://nativity.catholic.edu.au/policies/ .
The new uniform provider, Devon Clothing will be sending information about their opening hours for 2019, shortly.
