From the APRIM
Welcome back to the 2019 school year! How time flies! I say that every year in our family Christmas card. It does not seem that long ago that I was walking hand-in-hand with my daughter, Michaela as she started at Nativity. It was very exciting for her but she liked the second day better because they learnt the letter ‘a’. Two years later we did the same routine with Karina who was aghast that I was coming into her room. “Well… don’t do it tomorrow!”
Bringing children to school on their very first day requires courage from students and parents, well done to all of you! We welcome each and every Reception student, older new students and their families to our school community. You are your child’s first teacher. You have helped him/her to walk and talk. We hope that being a part of Nativity will help fulfil all the hopes and dreams you have for your child. You will experience so many different feelings but above all…

Congratulations and Welcome
We congratulate Kate and Andrew and their son Ruben (RK) on the safe arrival of their daughter and sister, Maddison. Welcome to the Nativity school community, Maddison. May God bless you all.
Condolences
We offer our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers to Father Charles Lukati on the death of his mother, recently. Father Charles travelled back to Kenya for the funeral. We pray that her family will remember all the love she showed them as she now rests in the arms of Jesus.
Altar Servers
We will soon be commencing altar serving training for class Masses. Those students who would like to serve at the altar and have completed the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion) are invited to express an interest. Parents can email me sblack@nativity.catholic.edu.au. I will visit the classrooms shortly to gather names and then seek parents’ permission. All training will be within the school day.
Uniforms
It has been great to see so many students looking smart in their uniforms. Although there have been a few hiccups in stocking uniform items, we are confident that all items will be in stock by the end of the term. Thank you to those who have problem-solved issues and thank you for your understanding. It has been a real eye-opener for me to see how much work goes into the design, ordering and stocking of the Campus uniform. We will keep you informed of stock updates.
I look forward to catching up with you at some stage this year.
Blessings
