Year 6 Canberra Trip
Here we are in Canberra after an early start to the day! We’ve visited the National Museum and enjoyed some bus sightseeing.
Stop #2 Parliament House.
We were addressed by Senator Patrick and participated in a role play to pass a bill.
Day 1 continued:
Old Parliament House with another opportunity to dress up and role play. The night time dinosaur museum was fantastic and kept us all awake even though we were exhausted!
Day 2:
Drink bottle inspection by Mr Searle, Mt Ainslie lookout, National Film and Sound Archive and free time at the Arboretum playground. Busy busy!
Day 2 continued:
This afternoon we visited the CSIRO holding stick insects and doing cool science stuff! We’ve also been to the Mint this afternoon.
Day 3:
Our students displayed exemplary behaviour this morning at the War Memorial. We participated in a wreath laying ceremony and listened to a Vietnam helicopter pilate tell us his story.
Day 3 continued:
The Yr 6s visited the Australian Electoral Commission and Institute of Sport. Our students have represented our school beautifully today and have definitely earned their Laser Skirmish treat tonight.
