Campus Performing Arts News
CAMPUS INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC NIGHT
This year’s Campus Instrumental Music Night is on Thursday 29th May (Week 5) at 6.30pm.
This cross-Campus event celebrates the talents of our Campus Instrumental Program students and staff, and gives our students an opportunity to perform to a supportive audience, at differing levels of expertise.
Parents, carers and the wider school community are welcome to attend this relaxed, informal evening to support our students, and gain an insight into the wonderful instrumental program we offer on Campus.
Students involved will receive information and permission slips from their Instrumental Teacher, which should be returned by the end of Week 3.
CAMPUS PERFORMING ARTS SHOWCASE
Advanced Notice: Auditions in Week 8
Campus Performing Arts Showcase auditions will be held in Week 8 of this term, in students’ classroom music lessons. Showcase itself will be on Thursday 15th August (Week 4, Term 3), with both a daytime and evening performance. Students must be available for both performances to be considered.
Students who wish to audition must be well prepared, know their act from memory, and be of a high standard. There are only limited places to be won, with spots available for solo, duo, and small group acts in Music, Dance, or Drama related fields. Students must bring anything needed for their performance to their audition, for example backing tracks (these must be on CD, or emailed as an Mp3 in advance of the audition), costume/props, instrument (unless playing piano/keyboard or drums which we will supply), dance shoes, etcetera.
