Our R-5 classes had a great time last week learning about water safety. For our R-2 students, it is also a chance for them to work on their independent skills by looking after their own belongings and getting themselves dressed. The R-2 activities centred around developing their water confidence and ability to keep themselves safe around water.
The year 3-5 students do a wide range of activities around water safety. Everything from swimming fully clothed to how to safely enter the water in different scenarios. It was great to see students encouraging each other and participating in an enthusiastic and cooperative manner with the instructors.
Below are some quotes from our R-5 students about their thoughts on their swimming experience and videos of each Year level\’s experiences.
