REGIONAL LITURGY & CONCERT
Yesterday 2000 children from Catholic Schools across the Adelaide South West region gathered together to celebrate Catholic Education Week at Sacred Heart College.
The theme for the celebration was Living, Learning and Leading together in the Spirit of God’s love. Father Philip Marshall led the children in prayer reflecting on how they are all known and are important to God. Andrew Chinn did an amazing job leading the children in prayer through song and after preformed a concert for the children where many of children lead the congregation in movement and singing.
As you know Andrew and his music is familiar to many of our children as he came here last Friday for a rehearsal and we use many of his songs in our masses.
Thank you to all our staff for their hard work in preparing the children for the liturgy, especially Lisa Cannizzaro.
PENTECOST SUNDAY
This week is Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost occurs after the Ascension of Jesus to Heaven. It is the day when the Holy Spirit filled the disciples with faith and courage and gave them the strength to tell everyone the Good News of Jesus. They began to tell people of all nations that Jesus died for us and rose again. God, the Father sent Jesus and the Holy Spirit to help guide the church and us. To celebrate Pentecost, The Nativity Parish are holding a Multicultural Mass and lunch.
Mass is at 10 am, please bring a plate of food from your cultural background to share. Everyone is invited.
