What an exciting time for their families as their children start at Nativity. Welcome back to Emily Bowden who will be leading the Little Stars team.
Hats are worn for all of Term 3 as indicated in our SunSmart policy. Please ensure that all hats are returned as soon as possible. If they have mysteriously disappeared, please send another suitable hat until a new one is purchased.
The Performing Arts Showcase is looming and will take place on 15 August. Stay tuned for information that will be coming home this week.
Grandparents’ Day is happening at the end of this term. Lisa Cannizzaro is once again directing this production. Please watch out for communication from your child’s class teachers about costumes and props that you might be able to help with. There will be more information about tickets, food and help in the coming weeks.
I have returned from Long Service Leave after travelling around England, a small part of Wales, Ireland and Russia. My husband and I are both interested in history and enjoyed learning about these countries. We saw some beautiful palaces, saw lovely scenery, and walked in the steps of some famous, historical people. We ticked some things off my bucket list like the White Cliffs of Dover, Sudeley Castle (the resting place of the last of King Henry V111’ queens Katherine Parr) and experiencing Russian history in seeing the Russian palaces, Red Square and the Kremlin. We were also shocked and taken aback at the political unrest that some countries have experienced and still do today. We thoroughly enjoyed our five weeks away but it made us realise all that we have here in Australia and how grateful we are for the variety of fresh food, drinkable water, the open spaces, the peace and the opportunity to express our faith openly. How blessed we are! We also celebrated our daughter’s engagement and had numerous cuddles with our granddaughter, Jasmine. So I’m feeling refreshed and ready to go!
I look forward to seeing you in the near future and promise not to show you the 3000 photos that we took.
Blessings,
Sharyn
