See What is Happening in RBB
This term in Reception BB has been exciting and fun and full of lots of new learning. To help us with our learning we have some special friends called Kimochi’s. Kimochi (KEY.MO.CHEE) means feelings in Japanese. We have lots of different feelings and are becoming very in tune with our feelings. Sometimes we have strong feelings that can fuel challenging behaviours. Sometimes it’s hard to know how to communicate when you are in an emotional moment. Kimochi’s are a playful way to help us learn how to identify and to express our feelings. When we communicate out feelings effectively, we develop positive social skills that lead to lasting friendships. Kimochis teach the forth R – relationships. This R is the foundation for success in ALL areas of life.
Chloe: They help us learn. We be kind to them and they are kind to us. My favourite kimochi is Lovey Dove.
Isak: I love all the Kimochi’s. They teach us to be good. They learn us to be good at reception and even because I like all of the Kimochi’s in the world.
Summer: They are soft. They help me rest and feel safe. I love Bella Rose and I really love all of them. I don’t want any of them to get upset.
Lily: I like them because me they help me to not get sad. Cloud and Bella rose are my favourite.
