What’s happening in the Library
As you may know by now the library suffered extensive water damage on Wednesday 20 May. I know that many students have been concerned about Spike’s welfare – I’m happy to report that Spike is well and enjoying watching all of the action unfold. He has also received a lot of extra attention and love from the builders and removalists.
We are currently working on setting up two temporary libraries and a temporary classroom space.
There will be a junior primary library in the middle level of the campus office building and a primary library in what was the campus staff room. All children will enter the library through the campus office. A classroom for Inquiry and STEM lessons will be set up in the Thiele Spence building. We hope to have this up and running as soon as possible.
We have been very grateful for the kindness and support that we have received from staff, children and their families.
On Wednesday 27 May many children celebrated this year’s National Simultaneous Storytime and read the book Chicken Divas by Lucinda Gifford. It was wonderful to see so many children enjoying the celebrations.
Many thanks
