Performing Arts
Performing Arts, like everything else on Campus, has seen a few changes of late due to Covid-19. However, this has given us a fantastic opportunity to adapt, be creative, and re-invent – all of which are handy skills to develop!
Our blog has been a particular highlight, being reinvigorated as a handy tool to communicate with students and their families whilst on and off Campus. If you haven’t checked it out yet, why not have a quick look now – go to www.performingartsoncampus.edublogs.org and use the password ‘Campus’ to access the site. We have information and links to on-line and off-line learning, Campus Performing Arts ensemble news, and a range of other areas you might like to keep up-to-date with (there’s even a great video of three of our Nativity 4/5s demonstrating their new body percussion skills – see if you can find it!).
As for our Performing Arts program across Campus, here’s a bit of an update on our progress this term:
• Performing Arts classes are proceeding as normal with lots of rich learning experiences being provided to all year levels across our three schools. We are back to (almost) full attendance, too!
• Campus Ensembles – Senior and Junior Choirs and Campus Troupe have been running with some modifications to allow for Covid restrictions, and Campus Band is now meeting as normal along with Advanced Music and Drama Club.
• Whilst we are still waiting for our Instrumental teachers to be given the all-clear to return, we are hopeful that this will happen for the start of Term 3 (or perhaps even earlier?!).

4/5SP had some fun exploring Space in their Drama lesson recently, here are a couple of photos to enjoy from that lesson:
