Reception King Class Update
Reception King have shown how independent they are this Term with the Covid19 restrictions in place. We have walked to the classroom each morning from the carpark by ourselves, unpacked our school bags by ourselves, done all of our morning routines and remembered to pass on messages and notices to Mrs King. If only we could drive ourselves to school too!
We have also been learning about the weather and the changes we can see in each season. We are able to name the seasons and the weather we might have at different times of the year. We have been scientists and did an experiment of ‘clouds in a jar’. We learnt that clouds are made of tiny water droplets, and when the droplets join together and become too heavy, it rains. We learnt that storm clouds are called ‘cumulonimbus’ clouds.
We have also been doing lots of learning in our InitiaLit program. We have learnt lots of alphabet sounds and ‘tricky’ words. We have been practising our writing, letter formations and sounding out words. We are super clever learners in Reception King!
