What is happening in Reception King?
This Term, our class has started learning about ‘living things’. We are able to classify different objects into groups which are living and non-living, we can name the characteristics that all living things share, and we are learning about the different things that living things need to survive and stay healthy.
On Monday, along with the other Early Years classes, we had a special visit from the Nature Education Centre. They brought out some different mammals, reptiles and insects for us to touch and learn about. We met ‘Karl the cockroach’, ‘Bob the shingleback lizard’, ‘William the frill neck lizard’, George the childrens python’, ‘Lina the bush tailed bettong’ and ‘Millie the ring tailed possum’. We also have some tree skinks to look after in our classroom for the next 2 weeks!
