Year 4/5 BC Assembly
Our class was very excited to be the first class to present an Assembly in a while since Covid-19 restrictions have been eased.
At our Assembly this morning we acknowledged the difficult time people have been experiencing with the pandemic through our prayer. Lewis started us off with a chosen prayer and then we heard from Ashleigh, Caden and Luke who had constructed their own prayers with a focus on the difficult time the Victorians and people around the world are experiencing with the lockdown and increased cases.
We then shared our learning in Health with our focus on the Mind Up program and how we learnt about the amygdala, hippocampus and prefrontal cortex. We then each of us shared how we used the program Maker’s Empire to design and construct a part of the brain. We had to draw a design and include details of the key features of our brain part.
Next, we shared about our learning in Religious Education. We have been researching a Saint of our choice. Jayce, Cacey, Finn, Gemma and Phillip explained the process of someone becoming a saint. Then Felix, Dane, Hailey and Alannah shared some of their research on their chosen Saint.
We concluded our Assembly with a dance to the song dynamite. The students dressed up for a bit of fun and it was a great way to conclude our Assembly.
A big thank you to our hosts Ciara and Dennis. Both of them did a fantastic job, especially Dennis as this was his Assembly debut at Nativity.
Be sure to check out many more photos from our Assembly in the Sway below.
