Sustainability

Today our Reception classes shared their Sustainability learning with the Year 1 and 2 students. We watched a video about Pope Francis’ letter to the people of the world (Laudato Si – Care for our Common Home), explored the recycling cycle (from what goes into our bins all the way through to the products that can be made from our waste), and analyzed what steps we can take as individuals to better care for our planet. We then presented the Year 1 and 2 classes with “Purple for Plastics” recycled bins so that everyone in the Bartram Building can help our planet by recycling their soft plastics at recess and lunch times.
