MS Aquatics
On Thursday 15 and Friday 16 October, Middle School students took part in Aquatics activities at Port Noarlunga.
We left school in the morning by bus, and travelled to the beach, where we had a choice of activities across the two days. These included surfing, boogie boarding, wave skiing, stand up paddleboarding and kayaking.
Despite the weather looking a little dicey on Friday morning, we had two beautiful days with great conditions, and our students enjoyed learning their new skills. Here are some of their comments from the experience:
Noah- The best bit surfing so far but I’m looking forward to boogie boarding!
Tyler- The wetsuits take a while to put on and take off! Other than the wetsuits, and losing my hat in the river, it was really awesome!
Aidan- The stand up paddle boarding was really fun because we got to raft together and Hamish and I tried to make everyone fall off!
Blake G- It was really fun, I enjoyed trying lots of new activities.
Mia- It was great when we merged groups to do stand up paddle boarding, it made it a lot of fun.
Genesis- Surfing was the most fun, especially falling face first, getting water up your nose and falling on your bottom!
Lara- the hot chocolate was delicious at lunch time and helped warm me up!
Rosa- the weather was not really on our side! The river sports were harder on Thursday because it was windier, and on Friday the waves were a bit small for surfing!
