Catholic Primary Schools Athletics Day

On Wednesday 4^th November our Year 3/4/5/6 Nativity Athletics Squad attended the Catholic Primary Schools Athletics Day.

Our Athletics team had a fantastic day where our girls won the section 6 overall girls shield. Our Year 5 girls and year 4 girls were also year level champions. Our boys were overall section 6 runners up.

It was great to see everyone enjoy themselves, show good sportsmanship and try their best at all their events. Our team consisted of the following students: –

Year 3: Indi, Jenae, Alanah, Millie, Grace, Matthew, Connor, Josh, Ryder and Elijah.
Year 4: Jessica, Ciara, Harper, Georgia, Liam, Tully, Finn and Jack.
Year 5: Gemma, Caden, Ashleigh, Sophie, Hudson, Dane, Cameron and Luke.
Year 6: Claire, Olivia, Ashlyn, Sienna, Tyler, Ethan, Aidan and Noah.

We had some fantastic individual results on the day, where students that placed 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd or 4^th received a ribbon, as outlined below: –

Year 3
Millie: 2^nd High Jump, 2^nd 400m, 2^nd 800m and 4^th Long Jump
Grace: 3^rd Shot Put
Matthew: 1^st High Jump, 2^nd 100m, 2^nd 200m and 1^st Relay
Connor: 2^nd 100m, 2^nd 200m, 2^nd 400m and 1^st Relay
Josh: 1^st 100m, 3^rd Long Jump and 1^st Relay
Elijah: 1^st Relay

Year 4
Ciara: 1^st Long Jump, 1^st Shot Put, 2^nd 100m, 2^nd 200m and 3^rd Relay
Jessica: 1^st 200m, 2^nd 400m, 2^nd 800m and 3^rd Relay
Georgia: 3^rd 100m and 3^rd Relay
Harper: 3^rd Relay
Liam: 1^st 400m, 2^nd 100m, 2^nd 200m, 3^rd High Jump and 2^nd Relay
Finn: 3^rd 200m, 3^rd 800m, 4^th 100m and 2^nd Relay
Tully: 1^st 100m and 2^nd Relay
Jack: 1^st Shot Put, 4^th Long Jump and 2^nd Relay

Year 5
Gemma: 1^st High Jump, 1^st 200m, 2^nd 100m and 2^nd Relay
Caden: 2^nd 400m, 2^nd 1500m, 3^rd Long Jump and 2^nd Relay
Sophie: 3^rd 400m, 4^th 100m and 2^nd Relay
Ashleigh: 2^nd Shot Put, 3^rd 100m and 2^nd Relay
Luke: 1^st High Jump, 1^st 400m, 2^nd 200m, 3^rd 800m, 4^th Relay (Year 5 Race) and 4^th Relay (Year 6 Race)
Hudson: 1^st Long Jump and 4^th Relay
Dane: 4^th Relay
Cameron: 4^th Relay

Year 6
Ashlyn: 1^st 100m, 1^st High Jump and 2^nd Relay
Claire: 3^rd Long Jump, 4^th 100m, 4^th 200m and 2^nd Relay
Olivia: 3^rd 100m and 2^nd Relay
Sienna: 3^rd 400m and 2^nd Relay
Noah: 1^st 800m, 2^nd 100m and 4^th High Jump
Aidan: 4^th Long Jump and 4^th Relay
Ethan: 4^th Relay
Tyler: 4^th Relay

We had some fantastic parent volunteers with us that helped officiate the athletic events. We truly appreciated their efforts and would like to thank Lee-Anne Lawry, Simon Pols, Bernice Martin, Tara Macrow, Craig Hall, Rachael Osborn and Shanna Sheldrick.

I would like to acknowledge and thank Bianca Henderson for the brilliant job she did with coordinating the day and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. I would also like to thank Emily Grantham for her supervision and assisting students to get to their events.
