And so, the whistle blew… ENCOUNTER VS NATIVITY. Who is going to win?

From the start, Nativity had the attacking lead, three minutes in and suddenly, BANG! Hudson scored a screamer from outside the box. One for Nativity! Nativity led for most of the way through the first half until a fantastic throw-in from Jayce who led to the half volley from Jai into the net. Two-nil Nativity’s way. The pressure was on for Encounter. It was an even half, and then the whistle went half time. Encounter came into the game with power and attacked until a great throw in ball from Jai on the boundary. It was then well controlled by Jayce and kicked into the bottom corner which sealed the game. It was time for the next match.

Nativity VS Saint John. This would be the decider for who goes into the next heat. We started strong after a ball flung into Jai’s face which struck him to the ground. Then, with an attack by Nativity and a great corner by Cameron, Jayce ran in and scissor kicked a riper to put us in front, or so we thought. They managed to tie up the game with a great goal. The whistle blew. Five minutes went past trying to decide if it was penalties. It was. At the start, Luke stood up tall and smashed the first goal then halfway through it was 1/3 to 2/2 Saint Johns. With a goal from Hudson and Cameron to put us in front. Last shot, a Saint Johns player steps up and smashes it over the bar! Nativity win!
