From the APRIM
Dear Families
Last Week’s Gospel was Jesus telling the parable of the mustard seed, a small seed that can grow into a tree which can become a home for birds. “From little things, big things grow.” Paul Kelly may never realise the impact that his song has had in the continuing Reconciliation story of the Aboriginal peoples and the wider Australian people. We may never know how our small acts of kindness impact on the lives of those who receive them.
The St Vincent de Paul Society is currently running its winter appeal. Every single donation collectively can provide:
• Warm blankets, clothing or a meal for someone experiencing homelessness
• The removal of the threat of hunger for a family by providing them with groceries for the week
• A safe place for a family experiencing homelessness, to sleep
You can donate at https://donate.vinnies.org.au/winter-appeal

A new initiative is being implemented in Aberfoyle Park. Commencing last Thursday and continuing fortnightly thereafter, (next date, 24th June) Foodbank will be providing a mobile service at the Community Centre, 1 Jessica St, Aberfoyle Park, between 10-30am-12-30pm.
Foodbank is a major provider of groceries that can be accessed by those facing financial difficulties. The groceries purchased at Foodbank are substantially cheaper than the usual Supermarkets hence the benefit of shopping there. A generous bonus is the provision of free vegetables, fruit and bread.
All are welcome to come and visit and see what Foodbank has to offer.
If you know of anyone who needs assistance, please see Sharyn Black, phone on 8270 3177 or email sblack@nativity.catholic.edu.au All information is treated confidentially.
