News from Year 1/2s

As part of our learning in Science about Living things, the 1/2 classes went on an excursion to the Adelaide Zoo last Friday. We were extremely lucky with the weather, with no rain, and some very wet animals came out to entertain us by sitting out in the sunshine! Some of our favourite Zoo animals are the Meerkats, Pandas, Tigers and Deer. We enjoyed a play on the Nature Adventure playground, and a session in the Education Centre. Our focus was how different animal features are supported by the habitat they live in. We had a fantastic day, and would like to thank our parent helpers Bec, Liwen, Craig, Laura, Amanda, Kylie and Rebecca.
