Catholic Schools Netball Carnival
We had 77 students from Years 3 – 7 today attend the Catholic Schools Netball Carnival held at the Netball SA courts. We were very lucky with the weather staying cool, but dry for the day. The students had a great day in their teams competing against various Catholic schools from across Adelaide.
A big thank you to Bianca Henderson for her preparation for today and Julia Morrison for being our Covid Marshal and assisting me with supervising the whole team. I would also like to acknowledge our wonderful volunteer coaches, team managers, umpires and our student umpires from Cabra.
The following people were coaches/team managers:-
- Ewa Starrs
- Leah Eustace
- Theresa Pols
- Nicholas Horton
- Heidi May
- Jo Davis and Matthew Davis
- Aimee Cameron
- Melinda Sporowicz
- Bec Smailes
- Tara Macrow
The following people were umpires:-
- Isabelle (Cabra)
- Lucinda (Cabra)
- Elisabeth (Cabra)
- Monique (Cabra)
- Deb Kelley
- Jack Kelley
- Cascia Smailes (Cabra)
- Sienna
The day wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers and we greatly appreciate their help. It was also fantastic to see some of our old Nativity scholars (highlighted in bold above) come back and support us with their umpiring.
The students represented Nativity well and displayed good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for each game.
We look forward to doing it again next year.
