Helen Connolly, Commissioner for Children and Young Visit

On Friday our Middle School Students worked with Helen Connolly, Commissioner for Children and Young.  The Commissioner promotes and advocates for the rights, development and well-being of all children and young people in South Australia and is committed to young people’s involvement in decision-making that affects them. During her time with the students, the Commissioner discussed healthy lifestyles and was interested to hear what our students believe makes them more active as well as some of the barriers they experience to being active.

Student voice is an integral part of learning at Nativity and the students valued the opportunity to have their ideas and opinions heard in a meaningful way with our wider community. We would like to thank the Commissioner for her time listening to our learners.
