Year 4/5 Woodhouse Camp 2021
The Year 4/5s recently had their Woodhouse Camp located near Mt. Lofty. We had some challenging weather over the three days, but we all managed to have lots of fun and complete almost all our activities. The boys spent the first night in tents while the girls slept in the dormitory accommodation. They then swapped for the second night, where the girls braved the torrential rain on Thursday night.
The students participated in rock wall climbing, billy cart construction and racing, Mt. Lofty Botanical Garden treasure hunt, Mini-Olympics, drop the egg challenge, Challenge Hill, Trangia cooking, quiz night and cooking marshmallows on a campfire.
We want to thank our wonderful parent helpers Bianca Cotton, Bec Thomas, Lee-Anne Lawry and Daryl Hocking. You did a fantastic job, and we truly appreciated your enthusiasm and engagement with the students and activities.
A big thank you to Julia Morrison, Angela Pike and Deb Kelley. The students and I truly appreciated all your efforts.
We would also like to thank the Wilderness Escape team for looking after us over the three days.
Below are some thoughts from our students on their favourite moments from the camp and three “Sways” with all the photos and video. We hope you enjoy the photos and we encourage you to leave a comment below.
