From The Aprim
Dear Families,
How can we make it happen? This has been my motto all year! Over the last two years we have had so many cancellations, postponements and adjustments to our lives, it has made us all feel anxious or just plain fed up. There are many times when it has been difficult to feel grateful. But here we are approaching Holy Week in a new creative way.
Holy Week at School
This year all the presentations will be shown to classes digitally and will be made available to families. This has been challenging as the roles of each of the events of Holy Week have had to change, depending on who is at school. I’d like to acknowledge the patience and persistence of our teaching staff who have adjusted and readjusted their presentations.
Holy Week in the Parish
Palm Sunday: Saturday 9 April at 6pm and Sunday 10 April at 9am
Reconciliation with individual confession with visiting priests on Wednesday 13 April at 7pm
Holy Thursday – 14 April at 7pm

There is no need to book. The parish will be following all SA Health guidelines that will be in place at the time. This may include QR coding.
Project Compassion
Our Carnival Day has been postponed until next term but please send in your family Project Compassion boxes early next week.
When the world expects sadness,
help us, Creator of Light, to look for pockets of joy.
When the world is overwhelmed by darkness,
give us eyes to see little delights.
When the world is caught up in sensationalism,
help us speak of the hidden wonders we’ve discovered,
holding them up for others to see.
No, there is not peace everywhere
and all pain has not been removed.
But there are still people returning home,
voices that pray,
moments of forgiveness,
signs of hope.
We don’t have to wait until all is well
to celebrate the glimpses of your Kingdom at hand.
Let us not deny sadness,
but transform it into fertile soil for more joy.
Let us not deny the darkness,
but choose to live in the light.
Cynics seek darkness wherever they go,
but joy is the mark of the people of God.
I wish you all a wonderful Easter Sunday filled with family, friends and faith.
