What’s happening in 5/6BH
In 5/6BH, as well as preparing for Grandparent’s Day, we have been busily engaged in many units of work.
In Religion, we have been learning about how we can have a relationship with God and our focus thus far has been specifically through prayer. Students are working in groups to prepare and present a short prayer service to the rest of the class.
In Maths we have been learning about 12 and 24 hour time, as well as how to read, interpret and construct timetables. We have also been learning about place value and converting between units of measure.
In Science, our focus has been on chemistry and different types of matter, specifically solids, liquids, and gasses. We really enjoyed making slime!
In HASS we have been learning about migration and have each prepared speeches about our family histories. We are looking forward to our excursion to the Migration and Modern History museums on Friday.
Here are some of the things that 5/6BH have really enjoyed this term:
Madeline K – This term I have enjoyed all the Maths I have been learning with both of my teachers
Harry W– In Term 3 I have really enjoyed improving my spelling skills
Matthew T– My favourite part about this term has been getting to choose how we present our HASS learning
Ryder D– I really enjoyed going to the basketball carnival this term
Sera M This term I have really enjoyed preparing for Grandparent’s Day and learning our class act.
