From The APRIM
Dear Families,
Thank you
A huge thank you to all families who supported the Vinnies Christmas Food appeal. This has been our greatest response ever and the Vinnies’ people’s eye widened with surprise and delight when they saw the bags of food being brought in. Our school families’ donations covered four trestle tables!
End of Year Mass
An email has been sent to families with details about the Thanksgiving and Graduation Mass. We look forward to seeing all families there.
Christmas Eve Parish Mass
The parish Christmas Eve Mass at 6pm is planned especially for families, with students participating in reading, the gospel procession, offertory procession and singing. There will be jobs for everyone. If your child would like to be a part, please see Bianca or me. You could also email if that is easier parishassociate@nativityparish.com.au There will be a practice on Thursday 22 December from 10-11am at the church.
Advent
Advent began last Sunday with the lighting of the hope candle on the Advent wreath. Fr Mwaura challenged parishioners about our Advent project. What are we doing during Advent to prepare for the coming of Christ? The Early Years students also reminded us at their liturgy on Tuesday that as we wait for Jesus, we must watch and prepare. It is a time to do something, to be followers of Jesus in all that we do and say.
We pray:
Advent God,
show us the way to be a light to all in need.
Help us to live and be God’s Dream of hope, peace, love and joy for all people.
As we wait and anticipate the birth of Jesus, come to us and fill our hearts with hope.
This we ask through Jesus Christ the light of the world. Amen
Blessings,
