From the APRIM
Dear Families
This week staff worked in teams to design their Religious Education units for Term 2. Students have some interesting learning to discover, including ecological choices that we make, indigenous spirituality, God’s offer of forgiveness and how we experience this in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Early Years are learning about celebrations in our lives in the Catholic and other faith traditions. We strongly believe that our students’ learning in Religious Education is the opportunity to not only support and strengthen their Catholic faith but also an opportunity to enrich the faith of students of other faith traditions.
Our Religious Education program has a strong emphasis on Catholic Social Teachings which supports our students’ understanding of their role to make the world a fairer and more just place for all. This justice starts within our own community and I would like to commend those students in the past week who have stood up for those who need help, especially in the yard.
Preparations for Confirmation and Holy Communion are well under way. Alexander, Aria, Casey, Charlotte Bl, Chloe Co, Grace, Hunter H, Jonah, Marley, Matilda E, Ollie and Toby are preparing to celebrate these sacraments in June. We ask for you to pray for them as they continue this special journey with their parents.
As we continue on in this Easter season we pray…
Your light is the only light we need
as we travel through life’s mystery
Your word the only voice we hear
that still small voice that leads us
to the place where we should be
Your presence is the only company we need
as we walk this narrow road
Your fellowship the warmth we crave
to help us on our way
May the truth of Easter
The joy of Easter
And the blessings of Easter
Be with us this day and all days
Amen
Have a safe and restful break.
Blessings
