Dear Nativity Community
Nativity Stars
During the time that the Nativity Stars students spend at Nativity, they learn about our school, school routines, visit other classes, engage in learning activities, explore and make friends. The welcome that our existing students show to our transition students is one example of the caring community that we have at Nativity.
Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Students are in the final stages of rehearsals for our annual performance. Students and teachers have put an enormous amount of work into the performances for our Back to the Future themed routines. As part of the Performing Arts curriculum students have been learning various skills enabling them to perform from learning words to songs and dance routines. This week the students have had dress rehearsals and have had the opportunity to watch other classes performances.
A big thank you to the support that we have received from families with costume requirements. We also have a group of parents who have given up time to support classes in various ways. On behalf of the students, I would like to thank everyone for their support.
Please note the change of performance time Grandparents & Special Friends Day. The afternoon Performance will now commence at 12.20pm. We are looking forward to sharing this event with our special guests.
Catholic Schools Music Festival
Continuing with the theme of Performing arts, we have 7 students representing our school in the Catholic Schools Musical Festival. These students have been learning their songs under the guidance of Ally Cunningham and will perform in the evening on Tuesday 26th September at Adelaide Festival Theatre with other Catholic Schools.
Premiers Reading Challenge
Reading has certainly been on the thoughts of many of our students this year. We have had 90% of our students complete the challenge this year. The students will receive their certificates and medals during term 4.
