What’s happening in 1/2W

We were all excited to return to school for the last term of 2023. In Maths, we have been investigating Mass (weight and measurement) using informal units to weigh items around the classroom. We have been hefting and estimating how much we can hold and considering that size doesn’t equal a heavier weight! In English, we have started to write Persuasive texts; students have argued topics like ‘why dogs are better than cats’ and ‘why summer is better than winter’. We have been discussing how to structure an argument and why we need a good reason that we can support.
