What’s happening in 3/4B
As we come to the end of an extremely successful year in our class, it has been a time reflect on the year that we have had. The students have been looking at their heritage and discussing what makes us all different. We have also been learning about diversity and that its ok to have your own identity and emotions. This has also led to really important conversations about bullying and what to do if you are a bystander in these situations. Students have learnt that its ok to tell the bully to stop, its also ok to tell a teacher and to make friends with the people being bullied, as we all make our own choices.
In HASS the students have been making books to show how the Aboriginal people lived prior to European Settlement. What tools they used, what celebrations they held, how they lived and how they only took what they needed from the earth.
Students also investigated tallying, data and graphing in maths as well as symmetry and transitions.
During Science, we have been investigating the Earth, Moon and Sun and their connection with each other.
3/4B students have loved writing their own poetry this term. We have been learning about alliteration, onomatopoeia, rhyming, limericks and haiku’s. The students have also really enjoyed reading these to the class.
