Dear families
Firstly, we have had interest in Baptism within our school community. Several parents, along with their children, have expressed curiosity about the sacrament of Baptism. If you or your child are interested in exploring this or simply wish to have a conversation about it, please feel free to reach out to Bianca Cotton, Parish Pastoral Associate. You can contact Bianca at parishassociate@nativityparish.com.au. We are here to support you every step of the way.
As we entered the season of Lent, Nativity commenced with a Whole School Ash Wednesday Mass lead by 3/4 Baldock/Davis. During this service, our students received their Project Compassion boxes. Project Compassion is an initiative spanning across the six weeks of Lent. It brings our community together in a spirit of generosity to raise funds for those living in some of the most vulnerable communities across the globe. Through our collective efforts, we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of others, expressing the true spirit of compassion and solidarity.
On Thursday 29 March, the Year 5/6 cohort hosted the Parish Mass with the theme being Love yourself, Love God. It was a beautiful celebration from our School Leaders.
We would like to invite all members of our school community to join us on St. Joseph’s Day, Tuesday 19th March, for a special Community Prayer. This will take place at 8:45am in the Nativity undercover area and will be led by our School Leadership Team (SLT).

Student Clubs
At lunchtime as a school we are providing opportunities for students to engage in different clubs, which not only allows them to pursue their interests but also promotes social interaction and personal development. Teachers and ESOs volunteer their time to the clubs for the well-being of the students. All students are welcome.
Here are some potential benefits of each club:
Story Writing Club: Encourages creativity, imagination, and literacy skills. Students can explore their storytelling abilities and express themselves through writing.
Mindfulness Club: Provides techniques and practices for stress reduction, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. It can help students develop mindfulness skills that they can apply in their daily lives.
Games Club: Offers opportunities for recreational fun and socialisation. Playing games can promote teamwork, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship among students.
Gardening Club: Fosters a connection to nature and promotes environmental awareness. Students can learn about plant care, gardening techniques, and the importance of sustainability.
On Wednesday morning of each week at 8.30am, students can come into the MacKillop building to pray the Rosary. If any student would like to “come and try’, they are more than welcome.
Grace and peace,
Rachel
