The Reception Class have had a busy start to the term!

Our Reception students have hit the ground running this Term! They are now experts at completing their daily routines, preparing themselves for learning activities, and confidently navigate the yard at play times. It has been wonderful to see them so engaged with their learning, and to see them deepening their relationships with their peers.

We have been talking about special places and the children identified our country Australia as a special place in which they live. They then drew maps of Australia, identifying the land and water. We will be continuing with more map work in the coming weeks. We have also been learning about Australia’s First Nations people and the importance of culture and place to ATSIC people. We learnt about and made our own Aboriginal flags and have created our own dot paintings.
