Parish Mass Invitation
We warmly invite all parents and friends to our class-led Parish Masses at 9:15 AM on Thursday mornings. Reception King will host our last Mass for this term on 27th June. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community.
The Nativity of St. John the Baptist
Monday (24th June) marks the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. This celebration in the Church calendar commemorates the birth of John the Baptist, who played a pivotal role in preparing the way for Jesus. You are invited to share this prayer with your family.
Heavenly Father,
You sent John the Baptist to prepare the way for Your Son.
As we celebrate his birth,
may we be inspired to follow his example
of faith and courage in proclaiming Your word.
Grant us the strength to live our lives
in a manner that reflects Your love and grace.
Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Sacramental Program
On Monday, the 24th, our Sacramental Students will begin their program’s formal part. This includes Monday after-school sessions with the Parish, a Retreat Day, and a Mass for those making the next steps into the Church. This is an extremely important time in their lives, and we pray that they continue to follow in Jesus’ footsteps. Additionally, we will be training Altar Servers in Week 10. Any students who have completed the Sacramental program are encouraged and invited to join.
Donations for Moore Street Soup Kitchen and Homeless Shelter
We are making another call for NEW pillows for the Moore Street Soup Kitchen and Homeless Shelter, which are in desperate need. We can do another drop-off in the next couple of weeks, so please bring any donations to the Nativity School office.
Additionally, as the cold winter nights continue, we are committed to making soup for the homeless. If you can donate any soup vegetables or boxes of stock, they will be greatly appreciated and put to very good use.
Cyber Safety Session for Parents and Students
We recently held a valuable session on Cyber Safety for both parents and students. In today’s digital age, it is crucial to stay informed about the activities children engage in on their devices. Ensuring that they are safe and the content they access is age-appropriate is paramount. The session was well-received, with many participants expressing how much they learned. Did you know that the average gamer is 41 years old? This surprising statistic underscores the importance of understanding and monitoring digital usage across all age groups.
Grace and Peace,
Rachel
