We boast a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre, incorporating a theatre, information technology suite, backstage classroom, and instrumental practice rooms.
Performance opportunities for our students include Campus Performing Arts Showcase, Instrumental Music Night, the Campus Fair, Campus and individual school assemblies, Harmony Day, Grandparent’s Day, Asia Week activities, school musicals, Christmas concerts, Southern Music Festival and performances at a wide range of community events.
Specialist Performing Arts Lessons
Music, Drama and Dance are an integral part of the Performing Arts curriculum at School of the Nativity. Lessons are aligned with the Australian Curriculum (Arts) and include ITC embedding.
Students from Reception to Year 7 participate in weekly Performing Arts lessons, in which they explore a range of activities designed for and adapted to their specific year levels and individual learning needs by Performing Arts specialist teachers.
Campus Instrumental Music Program
Students from Years 3-7 have the opportunity to participate in an extensive Instrumental Music Program and to access a wide range of performance opportunities.
Instrumental lessons are available during school hours, with piano and keyboard, flute, clarinet, saxophone, voice, guitar, recorder, ukulele, percussion and drum kit lessons currently available.
Campus Performing Arts Ensembles
We offer a wide range of Performing Arts Ensembles, including Campus Band, Junior and Senior choirs, Dance Troupe and Drama Club. Students from all three Campus schools access these programs, encouraging the development of Performing Arts skills, abilities and enjoyment throughout their primary schooling.
