Physical Education & Sports

School of the Nativity boasts extensive sporting and recreation facilities across the Campus which includes three ovals, two outdoor courts, one outdoor covered court and large gymnasium with a full-size basketball court.

Following the Health and Physical Education curriculum, specialist Physical Education teachers help learners develop skills and promote engagement in sporting programs. Through exposure to an extensive range of sports, children have the opportunity to find an activity that sparks interest and motivates participation.

From Year 2, students can participate in competitive sports by joining Campus teams. Team sports on offer can include soccer, netball, basketball and cricket.

Learners have the opportunity to enter a wide range of SAPSASA and SACPSSA sports carnivals throughout the year, including athletics, swimming, football, netball, basketball, cricket and cross country.

In Years 5 and 6, students are given the opportunity to participate in the Australian International Pedal Prix – a competition whereby Human Powered Vehicles (HPVs) race on a closed, controlled circuit.
