Principal Welcome

Welcome to School of the Nativity, a Catholic Parish co-educational primary school that is located in the southern foothills of Adelaide and is part of the Aberfoyle Park Catholic Parish.

We are a school that cares for the individual as we endeavour to inspire within each student a passion for life-long learning and to achieve personal excellence. The learning programs are based upon contemporary understandings of the teaching and learning process where the child is at the heart of all we do. There is a strong emphasis upon Wellbeing programs to support the students in their quest to discover and come to know their own identity, and how they can become contributing members in society. Students have many and varied opportunities to be involved in the extra curricula programs that support learning beyond the classroom.

Our motto ‘Families Living, Loving, Learning’, reflects the importance that is placed on community, connectedness and belonging. To bind this together, there is a vibrant network of relationships to support each other in a Catholic Christian educational context. We are welcoming to all where encouraging students, parents and the staff to become actively involved in school life. This creates a positive and optimistic atmosphere where we aim to become the school of choice for families in the local area seeking a Catholic education.

We are in the unique situation where we are part of Campus, sharing facilities and specialist staff with Thiele Primary School and Pilgrim Primary school. The collaborative arrangement known as the Aberfoyle Park Primary School Campus gives students, staff and the parents the opportunity to work together to create new and innovative educational programs and Campus related events to support and develop students from the three schools. Through this, we are blessed with outstanding facilities and spacious play areas to support student learning.

School of the Nativity is part of the Catholic Education South West Adelaide Cluster where there is a pathway of schooling from Reception through to Year 12. Students enrolling at School of the Nativity have the option of a schooling pathway to either Sacred Heart College or Cabra Dominican College.

Further information about the school is contained throughout our website. I look forward to you visiting our school where you can see for yourself all that School of the Nativity offers as a great place to educate primary aged children.

Many Blessings

Mr Greg Haynes
