Nativity Stars | Reception Transition Program
Transitioning to school is not just about the first day of school; it is a process that happens over time. It begins when children and families start to think about and prepare for the commencement of school.
At the School of the Nativity, our Nativity Stars Transition Program builds each child’s curiosity, confidence and sense of belonging. Set in a small class size, Nativity Stars introduces school routines and social interactions whilst giving all children access to the school’s facilities like multi-level ovals, nature play areas, and a vibrant performing arts centre. These experiences help ease first-day jitters and empower your child’s natural desire to learn.
The aim of Nativity Stars is to:
- Nurture each child’s self-worth by creating an atmosphere where children feel respected and loved
- Encourage children through play and set tasks to explore, invent, discover, question and experiment
- Work in partnership with parents to prepare and facilitate a positive start and transition to school for children and their families
