Majeda Beatty – Murri Island Girl – Performance

We were very lucky today to have Majeda Beatty share her Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture with us today. She demonstrated various instruments and invited some students to use them. She taught groups of students a dance and explained the cultural importance of each one. Majeda also taught us the significance of using ochre as body paint and the purpose of the designs.
