What’s happening in Reception King
Our Reception students have had a very busy Term learning about weather and seasons and investigating minibeasts (small animals). We have had lots of wonder questions such as:
Why does thunder and lightening happen? (Hunter and Scarlett)
What are clouds made from? (Thomas)
How big is the sun? (Sonny)
If the world is round and Antarctica is on the bottom, why don’t the penguins fall off? (Darcy)
Why are slugs so slow? (Aroosh)
Why do ladybugs have spots? (Savannah)
Why do snails have a shell? (Ben)
We have welcomed our Term 3 Reception students each Thursday for their transition visits. We have enjoyed getting to know them, teaching them some of our routines, and showing them around our Campus. We are very excited to have Nora, Marni, Zachary and Jonathan join our class next Term.
The Early Years classes went on a excursion to AFL Max where we kicked footballs, handballed, went on trampolines and inflatable obstacle courses and tried the rock climbing wall. The highlight was targeting Mrs King playing dodgeball!!!
We have also been waiting in GREAT anticipation for the arrival of Samar’s and Sonny’s new babies!! Finally they have both arrived. Congratulations to Sonny’s family on the safe arrival of Andersen (Anders) and Samar’s family on the safe arrival of his baby brother.
