From the APRIM
Dear Nativity Community,
The month of May is the month of Mary and all mothers. The Blessed Virgin Mary offered her prayers, motherly care, and witness to the disciples. She continues to offer us her motherly love and intercession. During May, let us rediscover her maternal role in each of our lives. Let us offer our spiritual mother our sincere prayers; she may also guide and intercede with us in our journey of faith. Let us learn from her how to love and trust God completely and be faithful witnesses of the risen Lord.
On the 28th May our school Rosary Group will be leading our school community in Community Prayer. All are welcome to come along and celebrate this prayer time with us. It will be held at 8.45am in the Nativity undercover area. A huge thank you to Bianca Cotton for leading our students in the Rosary every Wednesday morning, in the MacKillop Building at 8.30am.

This Sunday, celebrates the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven. The Ascension marks the completion of Jesus’ earthly mission. To mark this occasion, I would like to share this prayer with you.
Prayer: My Ascended Lord, forty days after You rose from the dead You ascended to the right hand of the Father in Heaven, taking up Your throne from which You pour forth both judgment and mercy. As we honour this great mystery of Your divine and human life, I beg for mercy upon me and upon the whole world. Free us from all sin, and open the floodgates of Your mercy so that all people will share one day, body and soul, in the glory of Your Beatific Vision. Jesus, I trust in You.
Student Wellbeing
Since COVID, there has been an increase in anxiety in primary school-aged children. I was reading an excellent article about how to help our children with this anxiety, and I wanted to share the link with you: 8 Strategies to Help an Anxious Child (verywellfamily.com). I hope you get as much out of the article as I did.
Our SLT group are currently researching Catholic lead charities, where we can focus our Catholic Social Teaching during Term 2. More information will be sent out soon, regarding what charity they have chosen, and their ideas on how as a school community we will help those less fortunate. During our Week 3 Assembly hosted by 1/2W, we will be presenting out new Junior Primary SLT members with their badges.
Grace and Peace
