Term 3 in 5/6M

This term 5/6M have been focusing on coordinates and cartesian planes. This has involved creating maps with coordinates and using cartesian planes to transform different 2D shapes. We have also been learning to include different literary devices such as similes, metaphors and hyperboles in our writing to make it more engaging for our readers. Our learning has also been centered on creating our own version of the 10 Commandments and using a Future Focussed Learning approach within both Science and HASS.

We have been lucky enough to have had a visit from Animals Anonymous where were able to interact with different animals such as a bettong, crocodile, squirrel glider and iguana. We also learnt some important information on adaptations, ecosystems, life cycles, biodiversity, classification and endangered animals. Some students have also been lucky enough to participate in Statewide Netball and Basketball with impressive results and also CSMF Choir.
