Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Friends of Nativity School
We have had a great start to the term with the Year 3 / 4 camp to Woodhouse and continue with the 5 /6 camp to Douglas Scrub next week.
The Year 3 and 4 students shared their favourite camp activities with me:
Sophie: I liked going really fast on the zip line.
Matilda- I liked getting wet on the rope swing
Hudson- I liked the tube slide because you could go really fast and do 360’s with other people.
Amelia F- I liked sleeping in the dorms with my friends and getting to know other people
Next week the annual Book Fair will return to the Library. It might be a good opportunity to start some Christmas shopping!
Here are the opening times. Thanks to James Coussins for organising this.

Friday Oct 25 – 9:15 – 3:30pm
Monday Oct 28 – CLOSED
Tuesday Oct 29 9:15 – 3:30pm
Wednesday Oct 30 8:30 – 3:30pm

Our Year 3 and 4 students will begin producing their podcasts next week. Some of the many benefits of podcasting for our students are:
Expanding their team building and collaboration skills
Using a design and thinking process
Developing public speaking skills
Empowering student voice and choice through showcasing their learning through the art of storytelling.
We look forward to sharing these with you on iTunes soon.
Friday October 25th is World Teacher’s Day. This is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the immense effort and dedication our teachers put into their work. Taking a moment to thank a teacher for educating, inspiring and empowering learners encourages them to continue the fantastic work they do. I know that the Nativity staff really appreciate the positive comments they receive from you so make sure to give them a shout out on Friday.
Lastly, the upgrade to the Memorial Garden will begin on October 21st and we hope that this will be ready for this year’s Remembrance Day celebrations.
God Bless
Erika
