A Time of Growth and Planning

Last week, Erika Dixon and I attended a Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) session at the Monastery. It was a day of deep reflection and strategic planning as we worked on our Annual Improvement Plan, focusing on our Catholic Identity and Mission Goals. Our time at the Monastery reaffirmed the importance of embedding our Catholic values into every aspect of school life, ensuring that our faith continues to guide our mission and actions.

Vinnie’s Christmas Appeal

As we approach the Advent season, we are called to be especially mindful of those in need. We are proud to support the Vinnie’s Christmas Appeal, and our Student Leadership Team has prepared an inspiring video to encourage participation. If you haven’t had the chance to watch it, I invite you to do so and consider donating to bring hope and joy to those less fortunate this Christmas. Donations of toys and food can be delivered to classes by November 28th.

Upcoming Celebrations and Gatherings

We are looking forward to two very special events that will bring our school community together in faith and celebration:

Carols Night and Nativity Play: On Tuesday, December 3, we invite families (R-6) to gather for a BYO picnic at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Nativity Play and Christmas carols. It promises to be a lovely occasion celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.

End of Year Thanksgiving and Graduation Mass: On Thursday, December 5, at 9:15am, we will celebrate our Thanksgiving and Graduation Mass, honouring our students. Following the Mass, Year 6 graduates and their families are invited to enjoy a cake in celebration.

Year 6 Assembly

Year 6’s will be hosting their final assembly on Monday 9th December at 9.00am before heading off for a day of fun with their peers.

Continuing Our Mission Together

As I step into the role of Acting Principal while Erika embarks on her holiday, I am grateful for the trust and support of our community. We wish Erika a safe and restful time with her family and look forward to welcoming her back with renewed energy and inspiration. In the meantime, I am committed to upholding our mission.
