From The APRIM
Dear Nativity Families,
Join the School Board in 2025!
Are you interested in joining the School Board next year? Leah Eustace, our outgoing Board Chair, will be available at the Carols Night on Tuesday, December 3, to answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the important role of the School Board in shaping our community.
Vinnies Christmas Appeal
A big thank you to all the families who have already contributed to the Vinnies Christmas Appeal! We are still collecting donations of toys and non-perishable food items. Please ensure all items are delivered to the school by Thursday, November 28, or at the very latest, Friday, November 29, before our half-school assembly. Your generosity will bring joy and comfort to many this Christmas season.
Nativity Play Preparations
Our Year 5/6 students are busily rehearsing the Nativity Play, which will be a highlight of our Carols Night. They will be supported by our wonderful school choir, and look forward to seeing you there.
Gingerbread Decorating Fun
This week, our Student Leadership Team (SLT) is lending a hand to make gingerbread in preparation for next week’s Kitchen Garden Gingerbread Decorating Lessons.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Carols Night:
Join us on Tuesday, December 3, for a family picnic at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Nativity Play and carols. This promises to be a beautiful evening of community celebration and Christmas cheer.
End of Year Thanksgiving and Graduation Mas:
We warmly invite you to our End of Year Thanksgiving and Graduation Mass on Thursday, December 5, at 9:15 a.m. This is a special opportunity to give thanks for the 2024 School Year and celebrate our Year 6 graduates. We will also be presenting our 2025 Seniors. Please ensure your child is dressed in their formal summer uniform with correct socks and neat hair. PE uniforms are not to be worn to mass, thank you.
Reflections from some of our Year 6 Students
As we prepare to farewell our Year 6 students, they’ve shared some of their favourite memories and what they’ll miss most about Nativity:
Harrysen: “One of my favourite memories is when the Bartram building completely changed and became so much more modern. I’ll miss all the teachers, the fun activities, and the welcoming environment.”
Tilly: “I’m going to miss all the teachers. My favourite memories are from Art and Kitchen Garden lessons.”
Zac W: “My favourite memory was during COVID when we had water slides and jumping castles on the oval. I’m going to miss my friends the most.”
Jett: “My favourite memory was the dorms at last year’s camp at Yankalilla. I’m going to miss the teachers and some of my friends who aren’t coming to Sacred Heart.”
Izzy: “I loved this year’s camp because I got to hang out with my friends and do activities I wouldn’t normally do. I’ll miss my friends and teachers the most.”
Elka: “My favourite memory was from Reception when I sat on the floor and showed everyone my silver tooth. I’ll miss my friends, Grandparents Day, and having such supportive teachers.”
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school community. I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events as we celebrate this special time of year together.
Warm regards,
Rachel Baulderstone
Acting Principal
