From The APL&T
Dear Nativity Community
Premiers reading challenge
Students who participated in Premiers Reading Challenge this year received their certificates/medals last week at our assembly. It was wonderful to see a large number of our students take part in the challenge and read a number of books.
Carols night
A big thank you to all the classes for their fantastic performances during Carol’s Night! It was lovely to see so many families enjoying picnics before the event. Our students certainly seemed to enjoy the night and did a fabulous job of singing their songs. To begin our night the Year 5/6 students help remind us of the Very First Christmas. For our school The Story of the Nativity holds a special place in our hearts, as our school is named after the Nativity
Thanksgiving Mass
Today our school gathered for our Thanksgiving and Graduation Mass where our students were able to reflect on their year and give thanks for everything that they have experienced throughout the year. At the end of the Mass, the Year 6 Class of 2024 were presented with certificates for completing their time at our school. We were then introduced to our year 6 Class of 2025. Following this we had our class medals and we would like to congratulate the students who received the St Joseph’s medals and the Mary Mackillop Awards.
In reflection
As we head to the end of the school year it is important to reflect on the incredible journey that we have all taken this year at Nativity. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and moments of resilience that have truly stood out. One of the most rewarding aspects has been watching our students develop not just academically, but emotionally and socially as they navigate the many challenges and opportunities this year has presented. It’s in these experiences that seen our students’ resilience really take shape.
As our students’ graduate from their current year level, I would like everyone, especially our students to see, celebrate and continue to build on the skills that they have built this year that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives.
As we reflect on the year so far, let’s celebrate the remarkable growth we’ve witnessed and look forward to the opportunities ahead.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all that they do to make School of the Nativity the place it is. Wishing everyone a peaceful, safe and happy holiday season.
I would like to leave you with this thought…
Life is like a mirror, what you see our there is a reflection or your thoughts and your heart. (Jennifer Gayle)
