From The APRIM

We have had a lovely start to the school year, gathering as a community for our Whole School Welcoming Mass. The student participation was beautiful, with all students showing respect and reverence throughout the celebration. It was a wonderful way to come together in prayer and reflection as we embarked on a new year of learning and growing in faith.

At this time, our staff also gathered for their Commissioning Mass, where we reaffirmed our commitment to our shared mission. During this part of the Mass, Father Mwaura blessed us, and we made our promises:

To be called by the Parish and School of the Nativity to teach and work in the Parish school.

The school’s focus this year is ‘Leading with a Josephite Heart’ as shown by St Mary MacKillop. We will lead by example to the students and community, on how to show Josephite Values.
To take up our task to witness to Gospel values.

To be committed to a ministry of service to the students in our care, to nurture an understanding of the school values of belonging, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, courage, and justice
These promises reflect the heart of who we are at the School of the Nativity. As we move forward in 2025, we do so with faith, hope, and a deep commitment to our students, families, and wider community.

Wednesday 5th March, 11.30am – Nativity School hosting Ash Wednesday Mass
Friday 7th March, all day – Campus Sports Day
Wednesday 19th March – St Joesph’s Day (with Community Prayer)
Thursday 20th March, 9.15am – Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 hosting the Parish Mass
Friday 21st March, 9.00am – Year 3/4 Assembly
Thursday 27th March, 9.15am – Year 5/6 Hosting the Parish Mass
Monday 31st March – Westpac Rescue Helicopter visiting the school
8th – 11th April (times TBA) – Holy Week Presentations (Palm Sunday, Last Supper and The Washing of The Feet, The Garden of The Gethsemane, and Stations of the Cross as seen through Mary’s eyes)
