A fantastic start to the year in 1/2W

Wow, can you believe it? Five weeks of school have already flown by!
It’s been a whirlwind of meeting new faces, making awesome friends, and getting used to life in a new year level.
We’re learning so much together, and the energy in Year 1/2W is contagious!

As part of our school’s RISE agreement, we’ve been focusing on what it means to be good friends who treat everyone with respect and empathy. It’s been amazing to see how kind and thoughtful everyone is! This theme ties in beautifully with our Religious Education lessons, where we’ve been reflecting on the special qualities that make each of us unique and why God loves us all.
Our sense of inclusion has really come to life in our HASS lessons, too. We’ve been diving into the idea of belonging – understanding what it means to belong to the First Nations people of Australia and exploring our connections both across the country and around the world. It’s been a fantastic journey of discovering our place in the world and celebrating all the ways we’re connected!
