A fantastic start to the year for 3/4R
Term 1 has been off to a fantastic start for 3/4R. We have spent time getting to know our new classmates and welcoming our new student Ethan into our Nativity school community.
We are already making great progress in our learning.
For writing we have been crafting narratives that follow the mountain plot structure. Our students have learnt how to add an interesting problem and create a descriptive setting. This has made our writing more engaging to read. Also, in English we are loving reading our class novel The One and Only Ivan. It is teaching us lots about animals in captivity.
For maths we have explored many concepts such as vertical addition and subtraction, estimating, place value, and rounding. We are growing our confidence in all of these areas.
Last week we had a blast participating in Campus Sports Day. Each student tried their hardest and showed excellent sportsmanship. It was fantastic to see the skills they have been learning about in PE be put in action.
We are looking forward to sharing more of our learning with the school community next week at our 3/4 assembly. We hope to see you there!
