Kitchen Garden News
Kitchen Garden has been a very busy lesson this term. We started off by observing our plants and seeing what had grown over the long school holiday break. The students observed how much the vegetables grew especially the tomatoes, eggplants, and capsicums. Along with observing the vegetables, the students have been learning about healthy foods and eating. They have been looking into how to eat the rainbow and have a variety of fruits and vegetables of all different colours.
Lastly, each fortnight, the students have been involved in cooking in the kitchen. They have cooked many different recipes this term and have one more week of cooking for term 1. All recipes used this term have been sent to the teachers and will be posted on Seesaw for everyone to access. It has been a very busy and informative term in Kitchen Garden, and I am looking forward to what Term 2 brings for the Garden and the Kitchen.
