What’s happening in Japanese
Junior Primary Japanese Update
Our Junior Primary students have been enthusiastically engaging in their Japanese lessons. They have been practicing common greetings, learning colours and animal names in Japanese, and exploring cultural comparisons. Using a world map, they examined the size and population of Japan in relation to other countries. The students also enjoyed singing Japanese greeting songs, making their learning experience both fun and interactive.
Upper Primary Japanese Update
Our Upper Primary students have been exploring the topic of food in Japanese. They have been learning food-related vocabulary and practicing how to describe what they eat in Japanese. As part of their studies, they compared food cultures between Australia and Japan, gaining a deeper understanding of cultural differences and traditions. In addition, they have learnt about significant Japanese cultural events such as New Year’s Day, the Doll’s Festival, and Setsubun.
